Plant: Fuchsia is a thick shrub with smooth green leaves. The buds form in clusters, pointing toward the earth, and upon flowering, the petals open toward heaven, revealing a crown-like appearance.
Flower Essence: As an elixir, this flower can assist an individual in accepting core emotions that have been repressed either from childhood or other lifetimes. The gentle healing qualities of Fuchsia offers genuine assistance as it guides one into deeper regions of the psyche where one can seek to heal the anguish of grief, pain, and suffering. Often this is where a buried treasure is found revealing to an individual the root of their Real Self. We might call this self the Divine Child within. Fuchsia seeks to uplift the soul into new consciousness, merging together the dark and light forces so that ones vitality for life is enhanced.
Archetype: Mermaid.
The mermaid embraces two worlds, that of the water (emotions) and air (the intellect). She is known as the "Virgin of the Sea", or, as "Fish Tailed Aphrodite". Her ability to plunge the depths of the sea enables her to discover the profound powers of her hidden treasures. Mermaids overlight the dream world, for the deep sea is permeated with Moon forces. Her ability to rise above the ocean waves, up toward the starry sky indicates a profound awakening of consciousness which the Mermaid embodies. She wears the pearls of wisdom from her past into the light of her future, and embraces the joy of a New World emerging within.
Healing: The soul has to learn to move freely in the realms of feeling and insight. One must courageously trust life, complete with its weaving pictures and episodes of pain and grief, for it is from this strength that we give the spirit space to travel beyond the watery emotions of our personal perceptions into other worlds of enchantment. Ultimately, the fish tailed Goddess creates her emergence into fullness. That which she could only live and weave in the realms of night can now appear to her in the awakened day.
